My story...

Three perspectives to understand your journey

I'm Estela, a Clinical Psychologist with a background in social and family psychology, and the person behind Impronta Psicología.

I came to psychology with a fairly simple idea: no one should feel misunderstood at the very moment they most need someone to try to understand them.

Over time, I came to realise that understanding a person means looking beyond what is happening within them. I first turned to the social perspective, because we are also shaped by the world we live in. Then came the family, that first place where we learn how to love, relate to others and, often, how to protect ourselves. Finally, General Health Psychology allowed me to focus more closely on each person's individual experience.

Today, those three perspectives continue to guide my work: the person, their relationships, and the context in which they live.

When we meet in therapy...

In session, you'll find a psychologist, but also a real person.

I also know what therapy feels like from the other side, and I know that sitting across from someone and starting to talk about the things that are hard isn't always easy.

I want therapy to be a welcoming, safe and non-judgmental space, with room to talk, pause, explore, and breathe a little too.

I'm not here to map out your path, but to walk alongside you for part of the journey.

I bring my training and my tools; you bring your story and your knowledge of your own life.

Because, to me, therapy is something we build together: respecting your pace and helping you discover and strengthen your own resources.

If you're thinking about starting therapy...

You can get in touch to briefly tell me what you're looking for, check availability, or ask any questions before deciding. You don't need to know exactly what's going on or be sure yet whether you want to start therapy.
